Due to situations that have occurred in the past with waiting to see if there are enough teams in the league or not enough kids to field a team we have come up with a partial solution we are going to try on a trial basis for the Fall 2010 season.
AA Co-Ed Clinic
All children will sign up as usual, but instead of signing up for league, everyone will sign up for the co-ed clinic at the fee of $20.00 per child (no family discount)
This will include:
Co-Ed (boys and girls) together.
1-2 days of practice times per week throughout the duration of the season
Possible weekend co-ed games amongst each other
End of season party
This does not include:
Uniform
Trophies
If either the AA Girls or AA Boys teams can develop into a league team the following will occur.
Parents will be asked to pay an additional $25.00 per child to cover fees associated with league games, including referee fees.
All AA kids will continue to practice together regardless if one or both teams are in the league or not.
Uniforms
Children will wear the same uniform season to season starting with current seasons uniform (Black/Columbia Blue) that were issued Spring 2010.
If your child does not have a uniform, you will be charged separately for our price for the uniform.
If your child needs a replacement piece down the road, you can order just a single item at registration at the cost we are charged. Your child will keep the same number every season.
What we are hoping to achieve by this:
Less disappointment by all concerned. Since everyone is signing up with the knowledge that a league team may not be formed.
Decrease in reimbursements.
An increase in turnout by combining the boys and girls by allowing the kids to practice/play with their team regardless if there is a league team or not.
Less expense by not ordering multiple uniforms that will not be used.
Allowing those kids that cannot dedicate to a league team (due to work, etc) still remain active in a sport. (Children are not required to join the league team if one is formed, example if a AA girls team is formed, one child can still participate in the pick up games and practices with the co-ed team without joining the rest of the girls on the league team)
